Mayo Clinic Partners with Corify Care to Advance Treatment for Heart Rhythm Disorders

May 21, 2025 — Mayo Clinic is joining forces with Corify Care, a medical technology company specializing in artificial intelligence and real-time heart mapping, to improve how doctors treat cardiac arrhythmias, including atrial fibrillation.

Corify Care, known for its innovative global cardiac mapping system, recently signed a know-how agreement with the Mayo Clinic. The partnership aims to enhance the precision and efficiency of arrhythmia procedures by using advanced AI tools.

Atrial fibrillation, a common and serious heart rhythm disorder, affects nearly 60 million people worldwide. However, treatments are often unsuccessful — more than half of complex ablation procedures fail, largely because doctors struggle to locate the exact area of the heart causing the irregular rhythm.

Corify’s mapping technology helps solve this problem. It creates a detailed map of the heart’s electrical activity, giving doctors a clear view of where the issue begins. This allows for more targeted ablations, improving the chance of success.

As part of the collaboration, Mayo Clinic physicians will work directly with Corify to improve the usability and clinical workflow of the system. They will provide feedback on how the technology fits into everyday procedures and suggest ways to enhance its performance.

“This collaboration focuses on advancing AI-powered, real-time cardiac mapping and providing better procedural guidance in treating arrhythmias,” said Andreu Climent, CEO of Corify Care.

Corify’s noninvasive system is designed to be faster and more accurate than traditional methods, which often rely on invasive tools or imaging like CT or MRI scans. Instead, Corify’s imageless ECGI system can map the heart during a procedure in real time without needing additional scans. It can be used for various conditions, including atrial fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, and cardiac resynchronization therapy.

Early research has shown promising results. By using Corify’s system, doctors may soon be able to treat complex heart rhythm disorders more effectively — and with a lower risk of complications or recurrence.
